Things to do in Jeddah

Russian version

Before I share with you my list, I have to make a disclaimer. I am permanently based in Riyadh — therefore, I am not tracking seasonal events that take places in other cities.

In this list, I will share with you the list of places I have personally visited with my family in January 2022 and can vouch for. It is a nice start, especially if you have only a couple of evenings in the city.

  • Jeddah historical center — a must-see place that does not require entry tickets!

Enjoy the views of gorgeous historical facades, some of them are more than a hundred years old! I would recommend walking there at the sunset. Explore some of the small restaurants and boutiques hidden here and there, as well as a traditional souq at the end of your walk, and get lost in the small streets. I can guarantee — you will feel the charming atmosphere of the old times.

Typically open from 10 am till 11 pm (but check the website before visiting!)
I highly recommend staying for the dolphin show (tickets must be bought separately), which usually takes place in the evening.
But check the website! On some days, the show is not available.
You can buy the tickets on the website. Beware: prices vary by day of the week.
Kids under 2 years old come for free. Beware: strollers are not allowed inside!

Very interactive and modern planetarium. Great place for kids, as well as adults! In the evening, they were also showing 20-30 min educational videos about the Universe (in English or Arabic depending on the time). I hope they will reopen soon!

  • Corniche and Jeddah waterfront — worth finishing your evening with a stroll along the Red Sea. Price: 0 SAR 🙂
