My Saudi Arabia

On this page, I will share with you my impressions from the events that already took place in Saudi Arabia. Who knows, maybe they will be held again next year! And even if not, at least you will know what to look for 🙂

Since I moved to Riyadh in 2021, the city and the country itself changed a lot. The cultural life became more vibrant and diverse — and I believe it’s just a beginning, since the Kingdom has ambitious plans to attract the tourists.

Before we start, here are some points to note:

• Due to the climate, most events take place in winter — which is approximately from the end of November till March. During this period, Saudis love being outdoors and enjoying the cold weather. Don’t be surprised, if the calendar of events becomes almost empty after winter finishes.
• In my blog, I will post about the events I personally visited — my task is not collect everything, but rather share my personal experience and impressions.

Here are the events of 2022/2023 winter season in Riyadh — I am writing about Formula E car race, Boulevard World exhibition, Cirque du Soleil performance…

And this page will tell you about the events of 2023/2024 winter season. We had a Swan Lake ballet from Riyadh, Boulevard World, Jazz festival and several piano concerts and lavender blossoming (it occurs every year, so definitely check it out next winter!).

And on this page you can find events that we visited in Al Ula in January 2023. It was mainly the Citrus Festival and a gastronomical festival 🙂 We also flew in a hot air balloon — right above the Biblical tombs of Mada’in Salih (it wasn’t planned, the wind took us there).
